Del Mar is an upscale beach town in San Diego County, approximately 20 minutes north of downtown San Diego, California. It is known for it's thoroughbred racetrack, the county fair, beaches, and unique shopping. The historic downtown village dates back to the 1880s and includes over 60 shops. The village hosts over 20 restaurants and many with outside patios overlooking the ocean. There are also a variety of hotel accommodations.
